If you are looking for an original way to include more fish in your diet, these low-fat carp fries are a bullseye. The combination of marinated fish, a crispy spelt flour crust, and a light yoghurt dip delivers a perfect taste experience with a high protein content.
For the carp you will need:
- 500 g carp fillets
- 80 g fine spelt flour
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- juice of ½ lemon
- a handful of parsley
- olive oil spray
- ground pepper to taste
- salt to taste
For the dip you will need:
- 140 g Greek yoghurt (0% fat)
- 2 tbsp honey-mustard zero sauce
- 1 garlic clove
- ground pepper to taste
- salt to taste

Preparation:
Remove the skin from the carp fillet and cut them into individual fries. Then, in a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs with the pressed garlic, lemon juice, finely chopped parsley, ground black pepper and salt. Mix the carp fries into this marinade and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
In another small bowl, mix the flour with ground paprika, and once the fries are marinated, coat them in the mixture. Place the prepared fries into an air fryer, spray them with oil spray and fry for 12 minutes at 180 °C. After 6 minutes, turn the fries over to ensure they become golden on all sides. If you have a smaller air fryer, may need to fry the sticks in two batches.

While the carp fries are frying, prepare the dip. Mix the Greek yogurt with the honey-mustard zero sauce, pressed garlic, ground back pepper, and salt. Once everything is ready, neatly serve the carp sticks and serve them with the dressing.
